“As an incoming graduate student at Chatham University, the idea of entering a new city and finding a place to live seemed like a daunting task. When I learned about the intergenerational living program that Vincentian Schenley Gardens was offering, I knew this would be an experience unlike any other. I, among other students, are given the opportunity to live at a discounted cost while we volunteer our time with the residents. We serve in a variety of ways, in the kitchen serving meals, in the gardens planting herbs, playing board games in the evenings, the list goes on!”
