At VCDC, we offer programs for children ages 6 weeks through fourth grade. Our goal is to help kids explore and experience the world around them through age-appropriate activities, and to provide parents with care and support options that work best for their family.

Our Programs

Child development and early learning are key to Vincentian Child Discovery Center. Our staff focuses on the individual child, gearing activities and play toward each child’s own developmental level. Our preschool program emphasizes a love of learning to best prepare them for the school environment.

Our Programs

We support each child’s early development with age-appropriate learning, nurturing care, and activities that build confidence and curiosity.

Infant, Toddler & Preschool

Infants (6 weeks – 12 months)
A nurturing, development-focused environment with individualized lesson plans and small-group activities. Ratio: 1:4.

Toddlers (12 – 36 months)
Young toddlers follow flexible routines that include meals, naps, diapering, and play. Older toddlers enjoy more structured activities as attention spans grow. Ratios: 1:5 (younger), 1:6 (older).

Preschool (3 – 5 years)
Classrooms feature learning centers that encourage exploration and skill-building. Teachers plan experiences preparing children for kindergarten. Ratio: 1:10.

Before & After School Care

For children in kindergarten through 4th grade. Programs include before/after school care, kindergarten wrap-around, transportation to select schools, homework help, and interest-based activity areas such as art, tech, and reading.

Summer Discover

A full-day summer program for kindergarten through 4th grade featuring themed activities, enrichment experiences, outdoor play, and continued learning in a fun, structured environment.

Infant, Toddler & Preschool Care

Our programs provide nurturing care, age-appropriate learning, and support for children six weeks to five years, fostering growth, development, and daily needs in a safe environment.

Our programs provide nurturing care, age-appropriate learning, and support for each child’s developmental stage.

Infants

For children six weeks to 12 months old, our staff provides a nurturing environment while meeting every child’s basic needs. Individual and small-group activities are provided daily. Teacher-to-child ratio: 1:4.

Toddlers

For children 12–36 months, we offer young (12–24 months) and older (24–36 months) toddler classrooms. Schedules include meals, naps, and both planned activities and free play. Teacher-to-child ratios: 1:5 for young toddlers, 1:6 for older toddlers.

Preschool

For children 3–5 years, preschool classrooms include interest areas to explore skills and prepare for kindergarten. Teacher-to-child ratio: 1:10.

Jill Paragi

Director of Child Care Services

Jill holds a Master of Education degree in Early Childhood Education from Carlow University and has over 30 years of experience in the field. Jill oversees the daily operations of Vincentian Child Care Centers and ensures that high-quality care and education are provided to children and families. She is passionate about creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children to learn and grow.

Location

Located in the heart of the Vincentian’s North Hills Campus, VCDC sits along the McKnight Road corridor close to schools, shopping, restaurants residential areas.
