The Vincentian Experience
You have many choices when it comes to short-stay rehabilitation services. See what makes Vincentian different.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy helps you participate fully in activities of daily living. This therapy focuses on the things you need and want to do in your daily life, including both fine and gross motor skills.
Speech Therapy
Speech Therapy helps you with your ability to communicate with others, and can also help with tongue and throat disorders. This therapy helps you improve general communications, voice, language, and swallowing.
Physical Therapy
Physical Therapy helps you with exercise and movement, including assessment, prescription, progress-monitoring and follow-up. Key elements of physical therapy include flexibility, endurance strength, balance, and posture.
Before Your Stay
Your doctor or a hospital discharge planner will work with you to identify skilled nursing facilities near you that would be appropriate for your needs. If you wish to recover at a specific Vincentian campus, just ask!
While You're With Us
Short-stay rehabilitation stays typically range in length from several days to a few weeks. During your stay, you'll have full access to the range of Vincentian offerings, from daily activities, to mealtime gatherings, and religious services.
After Your Stay
Upon your discharge, our social services department will connect you with resources like home health that will help you continue your recovery. Former short-stay patients are always welcome to contact our social services or nursing departments with any questions or follow-up regarding their stay with us or discharge.
