a group of religious women saw a need in the community and acted boldly to address it by opening the Holy Rosary Cottage in McCandless to house and care for 24 sick and elderly residents. Since those humble beginnings, Vincentian has grown to serve more than 2,000 seniors and children per year at seven sites across Allegheny County.

We recognize that you want to be there personally to support your loved one during this unprecedented time. Our activities staff is deploying a brand new video conferencing tool that will allow you more frequent visits with our residents. Also, we encourage you to e-mail photos of any cards, messages, art and letters you wish to share with your loved one to letters@vincentian.us. Be sure to including the resident’s name and where they reside at Vincentian.

National Skilled Nursing Care Week is May 10-16, 2020

In honor of our Vincentian Healthcare Heroes, we encourage you to submit words of support, gratitude, and well-wishes to our staff to celebrate their heroic efforts on the front line every day.  Submissions will be shared with staff directly, posted virtually, streamed within our facilities – anything that we can do to give our staff the extra boost they deserve throughout their day.

Likewise, we will be sharing warm wishes to our residents, as their strength and wisdom encourages all of us.
