Types of Care

Independent Living

Independent Living provides amenities like maintenance-free living, transportation, access to purchase of daily meals, and life enrichment programming for active older adults. This level of care is offered at Terrace Place and Vincentian Villa in McCandless.

Short-Stay Rehabilitation

Short Stay Rehabilitation, sometimes called short-term rehab, is for individuals who require post-acute care after a fall or hospitalization. The goal of short stay rehabilitation is to get patients well on their way to recovery to move back to their home. This level of care is offered at Vincentian Home in McCandless and Vincentian Marian Manor in Greentree.

Personal Care

Personal Care is a pleasant living environment for seniors who value their independence but need a little extra help with day-to-day living. Personal Care residents typically do not require medical care or skilled nursing; rather, they receive meals, assistance as needed, and are offered a variety of social events to help promote an active and rewarding lifestyle. This level of care is offered at Vincentian Home Personal Care in McCandless and Vincentian Schenley Gardens in Oakland.

Memory Care

Memory care, Alzheimer’s care, and dementia care is a specialized program to help residents with cognitive impairment enjoy life to the fullest. Families can rest assured knowing that their loved one is in a safe and secure, yet open, accommodating setting. These residents enjoy structured activities delivered by staff trained specifically o care for those with memory difficulties. Research has proven that routine, familiarity and activity help maximize the quality of life for individuals with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia. This level of care is offered at Vincentian Home Personal Care in McCandless and Vincentian Schenley Gardens in Oakland.

Long-Term Care

Long-term care, traditionally called a skilled nursing facility or a nursing home, is a setting for typically older adults who require access to 24/7 nursing care. These residents may have cognitive, medical or physical limitations that require assistance with tasks like going to the bathroom, getting into and out of bed, eating, and taking their medication. This level of care is offered at Vincentian Home in McCandless and Vincentian Marian Manor in Greentree.
